Compared to general-purpose solidarity, which has a high level of strengthening by itself, this card's level of strengthening by itself is not very high, so it's probably thought that it's easier to earn a multiplier than the number of monsters

You could just cast Beanstalk Giant if you have need of smashing now or you don't want to risk Fertile Footsteps getting countered
